MEET OUR TEAM
DR. CHING HSIN WONG
Graduated from New York University in 2003 with a D.D.S. degree, Dr. Wong has served the Bay Area for almost 20 years. Being the mother of three energetic sons, Dr. Wong knows how to handle business with precision while being practical, patient, and professional. She emphasizes preventative care through regular, well-maintained check-up visits so patients can avoid costly and extensive treatments. She also likes to promote healthy posture and bite while paying close attention to patients' overall well being.
Dr. Wong is a member of the CDA, ADA, and FACE.
In her free time, she enjoys doing outdoor activities with her family, visiting local schools to advocate oral health (silly props included), and volunteering to provide much-needed care to under-privileged individuals.
DR. CHING-WEN CHANG
Dr. Ching-Wen Chang completed general dentist and periodontist training in Taiwan in 2005. In summer of 2012, Dr. Chang participated in UCLA's implant preceptorship training. After practicing in Taiwan for 10 years, she decided to immigrate to the U.S. and has graduated from the advanced general dentistry program in UCSF School of Dentistry in June 2016.
Dr. Wong and Dr. Chang had been working together in several community outreach events these past years, and share the same passion to provide the ultimate patient care.
Dr. Chang is a caring and meticulous doctor, and also a mother of two. She speaks fluent English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese.
EDITH LEI, RDH
Our dedicated Dental Hygienist is here to fight off the plaque and tartar. Cleaning tooth, gum, and everything in between is her specialty. Don’t be afraid to ask what kind of brush, floss, or rinse works best for your mouth!
Being committed to cleaning others’ mouths is a hard job, but Edith doesn’t give up when it comes to preventative care and patient education.
Besides dental work, Edith is also as dedicated to a healthy living style. She enjoys hiking on her free days and love love loves Yoga.
DIEP NGUYEN, RDH
Gentle and detailed, coming from a big family, Diep knows how to communicate and help you achieve the best oral health for you.
On her free time, Diep enjoys good food and traveling.
ALICE LEE, OFFICE MANAGER
Alice is an experienced dental staff member fluent in English, Mandarin, Hakka, Taiwanese, and understands Cantonese. With this wide range of language skills, she is able to help many patients from various backgrounds. She enjoys being the resident tooth fairy, giving out gifts to the younger patrons, and is very fond of movies, traveling, and indulging in Korean dramas!
SUSAN TSAI, DENTAL ASSISTANT
Susan works with Dr. Wong for many years in charity. She joins our practice during pandemic to sharpen her dental assistant skills incase our community clinic reopens. We apricate her kindness and unreserve care for all of our patients.
ANNITA XU, DENTAL ASSISTANT
Annita is energetic and eager to help. Even though she travels long distance to work, she treasures the opportunity to learn about dental care. Annita has a big heart and volunteers at charity foundation regularly.
Being a mom of two, she is very understanding and makes friend with teenagers easily.
If you know a good vegetarian restaurant, don't forget to share with her!
TRAN NGUYEN, DENTAL ASSISTANT
Sweet and pleasant, Tran takes care of our clinic swiftly and neatly. She loves to read novels and listens to classical music. She is fluent in Vietnamese and understands some Mandarin Chinese. Her favorite Chinses singer is Teresa Teng!
SHANNON WU, DENTAL ASSISTANT
Shannon is our caring assistant with a contagious smile. She enjoys working with patients and remembers everyone she encounters.
With a Bachelor’s of Science from U.C. Davis already under her belt, Shannon is also diligent in her studies as she prepares to apply for dental school. As a future dentist, she has the passion and drive to provide the best care for our patients.
BTW, her current fully time job is a super nanny for her 3 newborn puppies.
JACKIE CHAN, RECEPTIONIST
Even though Jackie joined Amherst Dentistry recently in Spring of 2021, she is a long time friend of Dr. Wong and very familiar with Dr. Wong's treatment philosophy. Jackie is currently a student of Oriental Medicine, hopefully we can offer combination treatment in the future.
KAYLIN MA, RECEPTIONIST
Being a nursing student at San Jose State University, Kaylin comes to Amherst Dentistry to learn more about health care. With previous customer service experiences and volunteer experiences, Kaylin is a great help in our reception area. We enjoy her sweet company on Fridays and Saturdays!
